Artista Filmi Oy produces two motion pictures, Under the North Star and Under the North Star II, which are based on novel trilogy by Finnish author Väinö Linna.

The North Star trilogy is a realistic and deeply humane tale of the Koskela family. Using the viewpoint of a small man, it describes the late 19th century life in Europe during the great changes, World War I, the declaration of independency in Finland, and a bloody civil war followed by World War II.
